The Monastery of Nuestra Señora de la Salud, of the Hieronymite Nuns, was founded jointly by the Counts of Alba de Aliste, by the lineage of the Enríquez and by a family from Garrovillan with a great religious tradition with the surname Suárez, around 1563. At present, the convent serves as a dwelling for 15 sisters of the Hieronymite order.
